Lavender Graduation
Spring 2024
The LGBTQ Student Resource Center will be hosting our Spring 2024 Lavender Graduation ceremony on Monday, April 29th, 2024, 4:00pm – 6:00pm in the Tivoli Student Union, 320 Baerresen Ballroom.
Historically, Lavender Graduation has been held for decades as a way to celebrate the accomplishments of college or university graduates who identify as LGBTQIA+. This continued celebration on the Auraria campus is open to Community College of Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and University of Colorado-Denver students graduating in Spring or Summer 2024. Each graduate will receive a rainbow stole at the ceremony.
For LGBTQIA+ graduates who are interested in attending the ceremony and/or receiving a rainbow stole, please complete and submit the Auraria Lavender Graduation RSVP & Stole Pick-Up Form no later than Wednesday, April 24th, by 5:00pm (MT).
- All Auraria graduates attending the ceremony should complete the form for their entire party.
- Each Auraria staff and faculty attending the ceremony should complete the form for their individual attendance.
- Any Auraria students who who aren’t graduating but still want to attend (and aren’t a part of any of the graduates’ attendee counts) should complete the form for their individual attendance.
- All Auraria graduates who can’t attend the ceremony, but still want a stole, should still complete the form. Stoles can be picked up in the LGBTQ Student Resource Center (Tivoli 213), during our typical operating hours, April 30th- May 10th. The center is open Monday-Thursday, 9am-4:30pm, and Fridays, 9am-4pm.
- Spring Lavender Graduation is open to both Spring 2024 and Summer 2024 graduates.
